Remember the time
we took a walk down Carnation Street

We held hands as we walked in step with each other
and sang the same song over and over again

The sky was a deep turquoise
just like your eyes

We saw children playing soccer,
you always said that was your favorite sport

You teased me when I tripped
I would never admit it, but I always loved it when you teased me

At the end of the road we entered the forest
and you did this cute scream when a spider touched you

Eventually we reached a small hill
and you held onto me the entire way up

We sat at the top of the hill and watched the sunset
Leaving a orange hue in the sky, just like your silky hair

Then the sun finally set, and the darkness gained control of the sky
You said Matt, I love you.

I looked into your green eyes, and almost got lost in them
Finally I responded, I love you more.
